Daylight robbery in Tmn Megah Mas
attached herewith is an email from resident of that taman regarding the robbery for info.
From: Simeon Yong Tsu MingTo All My Close Friends,My friend (a guy) who grew up with me from young was kidnapped and robbed of his brand new Camry. He was release after much pleading made between my friend and the robbers cum kidnappers. He was driving near NZX (Ara Damansara's Shopping mall) housing area near the tunnel. A MYVI drove very fast and hit his car just enough to make some small scratches. My friend came out of the car to check the damages and assoon as he finishes checking, three Indonesian or Local Malays came and push him into their ALTIS. He was held atknife point and he gave them his wallet. They even asked for his PIN number for his ATM as well as his Credit Cards PIN number. He only remembered his ATM PIN and gave them, those kidnappers was not satisfied and wanted to ask for ransom. He told them he came from a poor family and his parents are not in this city/state. They even ask him whether his wife is at home and wanted to go to his house. My friend told them that his wife is working since today is a Monday. These kidnappers were quite daring where they took my friend to even put petrol with his credit card and even wentto the ATM to withdraw money. He was held in the car while they do all these things. They even know how much an ATM can be withdrawn in a day. These kidnappers were not that stupid after all. After about an hour ++ ordeal with those B******S, they release him in some "ULU" place near SIERAMAS. After releasing him there, he managed to take a look at the car number plate and then run to the nearest place for help. He called the police and the police promise to come and pick him. Even the police did not manage to find the place where he was released. Please let your relatives, friends and who ever that you know about this incident. Especially nearing the Chinese New Year and also with the economy turning unstable, people will just be unreasonable. Police mentioned that my friend was lucky although he was punched and release within a short period of time. Some people were not so lucky.I urge you all to take note of this incident and if ever someone slams into your car and regardless whether it isyour fault or not, DO NOT STOP your car to check but drive to the nearest police station to lodge a report. Especially girls, be careful as they will not only take your property but they may even make you a victim of whatever they want you to be.Take care~ Best Regards ~Simeon Yong

Additional security guards during the day
We noted that there are still a few break-ins during the day especially between 12 noon to 3 pm, the latest at SS 25/37. However, todate, there is no break-in or robbery at night.
As the number of households who have joined this security scheme is around 240, the committee decided to increase the daytime patrol guards from one to two without increasing the monthly fee of RM50-00. This monthly rate will be reviewed from time to time.
Pls raise your objection if you are not agreeable to this proposal.

Dissemination of information on happenings in taman
To ensure that residents are informed on the events/latest news that affect our taman, the committee agreed to put up 3 signboards at the three fields and also post them onto this blog.
We will also send flyers to all houses when necessary.
If you have any suggestions on how to improve further, pls do not hesitate to email to : fstuan@hotmail.com
